2025722· Waaaayyy back in 1970 I had a brand new 70 LS5 Chevelle with a Rock Crusher & 3:31 gears. 1st thing I did was get 4:10 gears. I was able to take off in 4th gear without giving it any gas, just by easing up the clutch! All that low end torque! 2nd thing I did was swap cams.
